The series begins with an internal audit at RAW set in the present day. Officer Himmat Singh (Kay Kay Menon) is being questioned over irregularities in his department’s accounts. From that moment, a flashback shows the scene of the 2001 Indian parliament attack. After conducting his investigation, Singh concludes that though five terrorists were gunned down, there was a sixth man, who masterminded the entire operation. Aided by cop Abbas Sheikh (Vinay Pathak), he manages to stumble upon the mastermind’s identity. And from there begins a cat and mouse game, which plays out over 19 years, between Himmat Singh and Ikhlaq Khan.

Now when it comes to acting we have one of our elites, Kay Kay Menon. I think he needs no introduction,be it comedy, drama, dailouge, he is the best. And the best part of the show is the acting of Kay Kay which was very well supported by Vinay Pathak, Karan and Sajjad though there are more actors but these names worth a mention. The show is designed in a very realistic manner no over the top action scenes or chest thumping dialogs. The show in its most part remain crisp and its engaging story keeps the viewer captivated.

The few discrepancies comes in the last leg of the show where its get too obvious which is a weak point when you are watching a suspense drama but still the acting of Kay Kay keeps you bind towards the show.

In short in a state of lock down if you have the access to Internet and Hotstar i will definitely recommend Special Ops.

Special Ops worth a watch
